Connect the Park Blocks

Oregon Walkways on the ‘Green Loop’ August 20 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Park Avenue from NW Hoyt to SW Market The International Open Streets Summit is coming to the Park Blocks! A one-day pedestrian route along Park Ave will allow people to walk between the North and South Park Blocks and be clear of parked cars or vehicle traffic. Activation Plans for North Park Blocks by Stan Penkin Following the disruptive summer of 2015 in the North Park Blocks, the Portland Parks and Recreation Bureau (PPR)  in collaboration with community leaders from PDNA, Friendly Streets and North Park Blocks have been diligently working towards making significant improvements. It tells us how hazard events might affect our city, and the ways city offices plan to reduce those impacts. We want to talk to you about the plan and hear what you think! Metro Central Enhancement Grants

Do you have ideas about how to enhance your community? A Metro Central Enhancement grant could help make your vision a reality. Metro created these grants more than 20 years ago to enhance neighborhoods affected by the Metro Central transfer facility. They are designed to support residents within an area that stretches along the west side of the Willamette River from the Northwest District Neighborhood Association to Linnton, as well as an area around the St. Johns Bridge within North Portland’s Cathedral Park neighborhood. Residential Infill Project

Your input is needed by August 15, 2016 The City of Portland’s Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) has developed a draft proposal for public review and feedback. Feedback received will inform the recommendation to City Council in fall 2016.
