Report livability concerns with PDX Reporter
PDX Reporter is the official app for Portlanders to report livability concerns to the city. When you see a sidewalk trip hazard, an abandoned car, or a clogged storm drain you can take a photo and upload it to the app which will automatically send your report to the relevant city bureau.
The app was originally launched in 2010 as a native app but it is now only web-based, meaning it is accessible from users’ web browsers. The app is currently in beta testing, but has kept the same functions and structure as the original app, allowing users to report non-emergency issues and violations. Examples of issues that can be reported through the app:
● Debris in the roadway
● Overgrown vegetation blocking sidewalks
● Potholes
● Campsites
PDX Reporter is meant to be used for only non-emergency issues (you should still call 911 for emergencies). Report issues by selecting the type of issue, giving the address, and uploading a photo of the issue or violation. At minimum, a report must include a report type and location. Once completed users just press the “submit” button and the report goes to the relevant city bureau.
The app also allows users to track the status of their reports. Reports are marked “Open” once they have been received by the city and then marked “Closed” once the issue has been addressed. Reports are marked “Referred” if the issue is forwarded on to another bureau or agency.
