Explore Washington Park

Coming to Washington Park this summer? Explore Washington Park is here to help you figure out the best way to get to and around the park with these helpful tips!

Beat the heat and parking stress by taking transit to the Park

TriMet light rail serves the Washington Park MAX station and Bus Line 63 serves the entire park. On busy days, our parking lots fill up, so taking transit can help you avoid a parking snafu!

Ride the FREE Explore Washington Park shuttle

We operate a free shuttle bus throughout the park, from the MAX station to the Rose Garden and the Hoyt Arboretum. The shuttle operates daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Labor Day (weekends only in May, September, and October).

Avoid the crowds and come during an off-peak time

Our busiest times are on summer weekends and in the mornings to early afternoon. Go grab lunch and come in the afternoon, and you’re more likely to find smaller crowds and more parking. Go to our website for estimated parking availability.

You can check out our website for lots more info on getting to the park and what to do when you get here. See you in the Park!
