| Thank you for choosing to Believe In Portland! The positive response has been overwhelming. We already have 130 Portland companies signed up for this important event on 9/15 starting at 11am at Pioneer Square in Downtown Portland.  Clearly, we BELIEVE in Portland, and there should be no doubt that Portlanders care about the city we all call home. Given we are going to have a record turnout for this event here’s what to expect… BEFORE THE EVENT In the week before the event, you will receive digital communication on which blocks will be assigned to your company (and we’ll have a printed packet for you at the event itself). With so many companies participating we have a strategic plan to ensure our impact is great! AdoptOneBlock will send out the clean up supplies to the address you provided. Please bring them with you on September 15th! DAY OF THE EVENT (9/15) WHEN: Meet at Pioneer Courthouse Square @ 11AM *We recommend heading over a bit early with your team, especially if you are driving*  1. Wear good walking shoes: we have 500 people showing up, so prepare to get your steps in as we’ll be fanning out from our central kickoff point. 2. Bring a water bottle: If you forget your water bottle, we’ll have some water for you! However, please be thoughtful as we don’t want to add to the litter situation with single-use plastic water bottles discarded in the streets.3. Plan your team lunch: Once your team has your block assignments, make a plan for where you are going to support a local business and eat lunch out afterwards (yum!). 4. Bring a positive attitude: This is a kickoff event for all of us to bring a little pride back to our city, with the intention of each business doing trash pickups on their own on a monthly basis after this event. We encourage you to have fun, take photos, bond with your team and witness how easy it is to make a BIG impact in a short amount of time for our city. Due to the overwhelming response of 500 people engaging in something we originally thought was going to be under 100 people (way to go!) AdoptOneBlock would benefit from some community support.
