Nonpartisan Forums and Information from LWV

2016 PRIMARY ELECTION | NONPARTISAN FORUMS AND INFORMATION

The LWV Voters’ Guide, public candidate forums and an issue forum, as well as interviews of selected candidates for state offices, will be available to the public at various venues, on the internet, and elsewhere. These voter resources are being provided by League of Women Voters (LWV) of Portland, well known for their nonpartisan voter information.

Portland Public Forums:

Thursday, April 14 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm
CANDIDATES FOR PORTLAND MAYOR, in partnership with the Buckman Community Association
Multnomah County Building, Board Room, 501 SE Hawthorne Blvd.

Monday, April 25 from 6:00 – 8:30 pm  
CANDIDATES FOR PORTLAND CITY COUNCIL and “GAS TAX” BALLOT MEASURE
Multnomah County Building, Board Room, 501 SE Hawthorne Blvd.

Wednesday, April 27 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm
CANDIDATES FOR MULTNOMAH COUNTY COMMISSIONER and CANDIDATES FOR METRO COUNCILOR MetroEast
Community Media Studios, 829 NE Eighth Street, Gresham.

Televised and Online Candidate Interviews

Voters’ Guide

Printed LWV Voters’ Guides in English and Spanish on candidate and ballot measure issues in Multnomah County will be distributed about April 6th to Multnomah County libraries and online a week earlier at [btn color=”darkgray” size=”large” link=”www.Vote411.org” target=”_blank”]Vote 411[/btn]
The last day for voter registration for the May 17 Primary is April 26. Ballots for the Primary will be mailed in Multnomah County beginning April 28.
The League of Women Voters, now with men and women members/volunteers, was formed in 1920 and is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government.
